MES Lasteaed – New School Year Started September 17, 2017

Montreali Eesti Seltsi Lasteaed-kool alustab uut põnevat aastat. Meil on rõõm
tervitada õpetajateduot, Hendrik Köhler ja Keili Moore, kelle teadmised ja entusiasm ärgitavad huvi eesti asjade vastu. MES’ Lasteaed-kool saab kokku iga 2 nädala tagant, Montreali Jaani kirikus.

The Montreal Estonian Society Lasteaed/kool is off to a wonderful start!  We’re excited to welcome two new teachers on board, Hendrik Köhler and Keili Moore who bring expertise, enthusiasm and energy for all things Estonian!  The MES Lasteaed/kool meets every three weeks on Sundays in the hall of St. John’s Estonian Lutheran Church in NDG, Montreal.

McGill Alumni Honoured – Mark & Helle (Monica) Hantho

Principal Suzanne Fortier presents Monica (BEd ’81) and Mark Hantho (BCom ’81) with the Award of Merit, the McGill Alumni Association’s highest honour, at the annual Honours and Awards banquet.  Outstanding alumni and volunteers were celebrated for all they do for McGill and their own communities.

The Republic of Estonia – 100th Anniversary Celebrations in 2018

Tere … Hi … Bonjour:

In 2018 Eesti celebrates the 100th anniversary of its independance.

The MES is planning a series of events to join in this celebration.  We would like to hear from you as to what activities you would like to see.

A concert?  Craft show?  Cross country ski event?  Family weekend at Lättemäe?  Cooking lessons?  Dinner/dance?  Pub night and trivia contest, etc.

Send us your ideas before September 25th for our next MES Executive brain-storming session.

And if you would like to volunteer your organizational skills, we’d love to hear from you.
